This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use its status saving, media review, message recovery, and related features. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should stop using the App and uninstall it from your device.

The App is an independent utility application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with WhatsApp, WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of their related companies. All trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners.

1. Purpose of the App

The App is designed to help users manage supported WhatsApp-related media and notification-preview features on their own Android device. Depending on the permissions and features you choose to enable, the App may allow you to:

• View and save supported status images and videos.
• Organize saved media within the App.
• Review supported WhatsApp-related media categories available to the App, such as images, videos, audio, voice notes, and documents.
• Temporarily keep recent supported WhatsApp media available for review through the App’s media protection or media review features.
• Use Message Recovery features for supported notification previews that become available on your device after the feature is enabled.
• Share, copy, move, delete, or manage supported items using controls available inside the App.

The App is intended for personal use on your own device. You are responsible for respecting the rights, privacy, consent, and permissions of other people before saving, sharing, reposting, or using any media or message-related content.

2. Information the App May Access or Handle

The App may access or handle the following categories of information, depending on the features you choose to use and the permissions you grant.

2.1 Media and File Information

When you grant media, storage, folder, or sharing access, the App may access supported media files and related file information needed to display, save, copy, organize, preview, share, or delete media within the App. This may include:

• Images
• Videos
• Audio files
• Voice notes
• Documents
• File names
• File sizes
• File dates or timestamps
• Folder or storage locations needed for app functionality
• Thumbnails or preview data generated for display inside the App

The App uses this information to provide status saving, saved media, media review, media protection, preview, sharing, and file-management features.

2.2 Message Recovery Information

If you choose to enable Message Recovery and grant Notification Access through Android settings, the App may receive supported notification information made available by Android from supported WhatsApp notifications on your device. This may include:

• Message preview text shown in notifications
• Sender or chat names shown in notifications
• Notification time information
• App or source labels needed to identify supported notifications
• Limited notification status signals relevant to supported deleted-message alerts or related recovery behavior

Message Recovery works only after the feature is enabled and only when Android and WhatsApp make supported notification previews available on your device. The App cannot recover messages received before Message Recovery is enabled.

It also may not work in all situations, including for example when notification previews are hidden, chats are muted, the chat is open and no notification preview is shown, Android or device settings restrict notifications or background behavior, WhatsApp does not expose the relevant preview to Android, or the device manufacturer applies limitations outside the App’s control.

Message Recovery is intended to provide local recovery of supported notification preview information on your device. It is not a guaranteed recovery system for all messages or chats.

2.3 Local App Data, Indexes, and Preferences

To provide App features efficiently, the App may store local supporting data on your device, such as saved item records, local indexes, thumbnails, cached previews, temporary working files, user preferences and settings, folder access references granted by the user, and local message-preview records for enabled recovery features.

This data helps the App organize content, improve performance, remember settings, and provide the features you choose to use.

2.4 Diagnostics, Performance, and Technical Information

The App may use trusted service providers to help understand app reliability, crashes, performance, app health, and general operational usage. This may include limited technical information such as app version, device model, Android version, crash reports, performance metrics, diagnostic events, installation or update signals, and basic app health information.

This information is used to maintain, secure, debug, and improve the App. It is not intended to include your saved media content or saved message-preview content as app analytics payloads.

2.5 Advertising and Consent Information

Some versions of the App may include advertising, consent, or related SDK services. If such services are enabled, they may process limited technical information in accordance with their own privacy practices and applicable law.

Where required, the App may present consent choices before personalized advertising or related processing is used.

UsmanDroid does not sell your personal information.

3. On-Device Processing and Storage

The App is designed primarily around local, on-device functionality.

Saved media, temporary media copies, message-preview records, thumbnails, preferences, and app indexes may be stored locally on your device. Some saved media may be stored in user-visible device storage, while some temporary or feature-specific working data may be stored in app-controlled storage.

The App may keep local indexes, preferences, thumbnails, and records to organize saved items, improve performance, display previews, remember settings, support message recovery, and support temporary media review features.

The App does not require a user account or login for its core features.

4. No Sale of Personal Information

UsmanDroid does not sell your personal information, saved media, message previews, or locally recovered message-preview information.

The App does not intentionally upload, sell, rent, or trade your saved WhatsApp-related media or recovered message-preview content to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

5. How Information Is Used

Information handled by the App may be used for the following purposes:

• to display supported status media
• to save selected media to your device
• to organize and manage saved media
• to provide media review and temporary media protection features
• to provide Message Recovery features when enabled
• to show relevant in-app alerts, prompts, and status messages
• to support user-initiated sharing actions
• to maintain app preferences and settings
• to improve app reliability, performance, and stability
• to diagnose crashes, errors, and app health issues
• to comply with applicable laws, platform rules, or valid legal requests

The App does not use your saved media content or recovered message-preview content for advertising profiling by UsmanDroid.

6. Sharing and Third-Party Services

6.1 User-Initiated Sharing

When you choose to share a file, media item, or content from within the App, Android may show available sharing options. Any information you choose to share is sent only according to the action you select and the destination app or service you choose.

UsmanDroid is not responsible for how third-party apps or services handle information after you choose to share it with them.

6.2 Service Providers

The App may rely on platform or SDK providers for services such as app distribution, analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, consent handling, advertising where enabled, app updates, and related operational support.

These providers may process limited technical information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

6.3 Legal Compliance

UsmanDroid may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, legal process, governmental request, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the App, or the public.

7. Permissions and Access

Depending on the features you choose to use, the App may request permissions or user-granted access such as:

• media or storage access to display, save, copy, share, move, or manage supported files
• folder access chosen by the user for supported WhatsApp-related media features
• Notification Access for Message Recovery, if you enable that feature
• notification permission to show supported alerts where required by Android
• battery or background-setting shortcuts intended to help selected features work more reliably on supported devices

You can grant or deny permissions through Android system settings. Some features may not work, or may work only partially, if required access is denied or later revoked.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

The App keeps local data only as needed to provide the features you use, unless you delete it earlier.

You may delete or remove data by:

• using in-app delete or clear options where available
• deleting saved files from device storage
• clearing the App’s storage from Android settings
• revoking granted permissions or folder access
• uninstalling the App

Some temporary or app-managed media copies may be retained only for a limited review period or until you clear them, depending on the feature and your actions. Media that you choose to keep may remain on your device until you delete it.

UsmanDroid does not maintain a cloud account system for the App’s core features.

9. Security

UsmanDroid takes reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App. The App is designed to keep core media and message-preview records on the user’s own device unless you choose to share them or a service provider processes limited technical information for diagnostics, analytics, app operation, or legal compliance.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, screen lock, backups, shared files, and any third-party apps with which you choose to share content.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children and is not designed to knowingly collect unnecessary personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App in a way that requires deletion or review, please contact UsmanDroid.

11. Third-Party Apps and Platforms

The App may interact with Android system services, Google Play services, supported WhatsApp-related media made available on your device, and other apps selected by the user for sharing or opening content.

WhatsApp and other third-party apps have their own privacy policies and terms. UsmanDroid is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, features, or policies of third-party apps or services.

12. User Responsibilities

You should use the App lawfully and responsibly. Before saving, sharing, reposting, copying, or using any content, you should respect the rights, consent, copyright, privacy, and expectations of the person who created or sent that content.

The App does not give you ownership of third-party media or messages and does not authorize misuse of another person’s content.

13. International Users

The App may be available in multiple countries and languages. By using the App, you understand that limited technical information may be processed by service providers in accordance with their own policies and applicable law.

Core media handling and local message-preview recovery features are primarily performed on your device.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

UsmanDroid may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App changes, features are added or removed, legal requirements change, or platform requirements are updated.

When this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on the official website. The version published on the official website should be treated as the current Privacy Policy.
